Over the past three months, we’ve made substantial strides toward this by implementing a structured, yet flexible AI strategy built around three distinct pillars: AI for Everyone, AI Enabled Tools, and Strategic Bets.

• Workshops, sharing real-world examples demonstrating how generative AI can enhance productivity, improve accuracy, to upskill staff and free up time.
• Dedicated collaboration channels for employees to share discoveries and use cases

The result? A growing culture of AI curiosity and capability. Our team is now leveraging AI to improve underwriting speed, draft high-quality proposals faster, and summarize complex customer communications—all without disrupting existing workflows. AI has begun streamlining tasks company-wide.

Pillar Two: AI Enabled Tools – Quick Wins 

Our second pillar, “AI Enabled Tools,” involves integrating AI into the tools our teams already use daily. We’ve found that one of the most effective ways to accelerate AI adoption is by tapping into the native AI capabilities of trusted platforms like Microsoft 365 and Salesforce, that way our employees don’t have to pivot to different tools to see the benefits.

• Outlook Copilot: This tool helps our team rapidly draft emails and summarize lengthy threads, saving salespeople’s time.
• PowerPoint Copilot: Allows Dext to communicate more quickly in all-company town halls or cross-team meetings.
• Teams Copilot: Assists with meeting preparations by generating agendas, summarizing online meetings, and creating follow-up tasks.
• GitHub Copilot: Salesforce developers have quickly integrated this tool into their workflow, significantly accelerating coding tasks, debugging, and enhancing code quality. This has improved productivity and throughput.

One feature of this pillar lies in its iterative nature—vendors continually enhance their AI offerings, and new generative models rapidly emerge. Staying agile and willing to try new offerings allows us to take advantage of this evolution.

Pillar Three: Strategic Bets – Redefining the Future of Work in Finance

The third pillar, “Strategic Bets,” reflects our forward-looking investment in AI’s transformational potential. These initiatives are larger, more complex, and strategically critical projects, selected and driven by our executive team.

One prominent example is our exploration of AI-driven underwriting solutions. AI models that leverage historical and real-time data can drastically improve accuracy, speed, and consistency in credit risk assessments. Early indicators suggest potential not only for greater efficiency but also for more robust, predictive underwriting that could provide a competitive edge.

We are also investing strategically in Agentic AI, evaluating automated customer service agents capable of handling many different types of client interactions. These AI-driven assistants offer customers immediate, accurate responses around the clock, enhancing satisfaction while freeing our human staff to handle complex interactions requiring deeper expertise and empathy.

The strategic nature of these bets means they require careful evaluation, substantial investment, and executive oversight. While fewer in number, these initiatives hold the potential for transformative impact—aligning with Dext’s vision to remain an innovative leader in our field.
