Kyin Lok is a 25-year veteran and leader in the equipment leasing industry. His deep knowledge in healthcare and technology expanded in his roles managing and developing businesses such as GE Capital, US Bank and TCF Bank. Kyin has managed both direct originations and vendor-oriented businesses establishing a track record for successful growth at every business he has led, including GE Capital’s Asia Healthcare Platform, US Bank’s Middle Market Vendor business with a focus on healthcare and technology and several diversified business lines for TCF Bank.
Kyin is well respected and known as one of the brightest minds in the industry and brings a humble leadership style to Dext Capital. Kyin has also had the benefit of overseeing corporate development efforts at GE Capital and TCF Bank, building de novo businesses and leading several successful acquisitions and integrations which makes him uniquely qualified to make decisions on how best to build a company and avoid potential pitfalls of less well capitalized independent lessors.
Kyin has an undergraduate degree from Northeastern University and earned a MBA from Columbia Business School. He is happily married with two kids. During his free time he enjoys golfing, rooting for his hometown Boston teams, serving on boards for nonprofits and spending time with his family
Eric Gross’ career spans 25-years in the commercial equipment finance and leasing industry. Prior to joining Dext Capital, Eric was the Senior Vice President and Director of Bank of the West’s 3rd party servicing division. There he managed a portfolio in excess of $3 billion.
Before joining Bank of the West, Eric spent 20-years working in the lease and finance industry with Ford Motor Credit, ORIX Financial Services and Portfolio Financial Servicing Company. Eric holds a B.A. in Economics from Washington State University. He is past chair of the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association’s Vendor and Captive Business Counsel Steering Committee and is active with Candlelighters of Oregon.
During Eric’s free time he enjoys fishing and spending time with his family.
Scott is responsible for all aspects of credit risk management including credit policy, credit underwriting, and portfolio management. Before joining Dext Capital, Scott built a 20-year career in the equipment finance industry. Most recently he served as the Vice President of Credit for Umpqua Bank/Financial Pacific Leasing, where he led a team of credit underwriters in the origination of large ticket and application only transactions across multiple business channels including Direct, Vendor, Broker, and Capital Markets. In addition, Scott spent a number of years at US Bank Equipment Finance implementing, underwriting, and monitoring vendor programs and end users in the Healthcare space.
Prior to that he held various credit positions with GE Capital Colonial Pacific Leasing including app only and large ticket credit underwriting. Scott is a graduate of the University of Oregon, where he majored in Finance and Management, and Portland State University, where he earned a Master of Business Administration.
In his free time Scott enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, rooting for his beloved Ducks, and exploring the Portland music scene.
Steven is responsible for technology development and execution at Dext Capital, focusing on accelerating originations, optimizing operations, and driving innovation. Previously, he was Chief Information Officer at Genesis Financial Solutions, a multi-billion-dollar consumer finance company. He was responsible for all technology related functions including development, IT operations, and infrastructure. Steven lead the IT initiatives that allowed the company to scale from zero to two billion in originations over seven years. Previously, he worked at Umpqua Bank and CoreLogic.
Steven holds both an MBA and BS in Computer Science from Portland State University.
Jeff is responsible for managing the vendor business development efforts including, onboarding new vendor programs, vendor program management, recruiting sales and account management talent, and collaborating with other members of senior management on the strategic direction for the vendor business.
Jeff is a 28-year veteran of the commercial equipment financing industry with extensive experience launching and managing large, well performing vendor programs – primarily in the Healthcare and Fitness industries. He started his career as a credit analyst at Norwest Financial Leasing (now Wells Fargo) and within 2-years moved into a sales role.
After a successful run in sales with Norwest along with two other independent leasing companies, he accepted a position as Vice President of Operations with Western Equipment Finance and helped grow the portfolio from $30 million in originations to just over $100 million in 5-years. Upon moving back to his home state of Iowa, he worked for VGM Financial, which was acquired by TCF Equipment Finance in 2004. He accelerated TCFEF’s entry into the healthcare market and increased that portfolio from $5 million to over $200 million from 2005-2012, primarily by establishing national programs with two major manufacturers.
He graduated with Liberal Arts major and Business minor from the University of Iowa. In his spare time, Jeff enjoys golfing, boating, snow skiing and vacationing with family. He also is an avid Iowa Hawkeye sports fan.
JOHN SANDOVAL is Senior Vice President of Sales for Dext Capital’s Direct Sales initiatives based out of Los Angeles. John is responsible for building Dext’s sales efforts to end-user clients and promoting channels to achieve these efforts. He is also responsible for expanding Dext into non-healthcare markets. John proudly manages the direct sales team and is a part of the Dext senior sales management team.
John’s twenty-nine-year career has been focused on starting, growing, supporting, and developing organizations. Dext is his fifth involvement in contributing to a rapidly growing organization. John has served in a general manager role as well as managing the sales process. He has helped develop business concepts and enjoys all facets of the business. John has worked for several commercial banks (City National, Bank of the West, Wells Fargo) and also served as the COO and CFO of two private companies (First Financial Equipment Leasing, CHG-MERIDIAN).
He has spent most of his career in some facet of equipment financing, including Fortune 1000 and middle-market financing, asset securitization, credit underwriting, tax-advantaged leasing, aircraft finance, international finance, green equipment financing, and most recently—information, healthcare, and distribution technology leasing. He has worked for commercial finance companies and has banked them. John enjoys working on complex projects and has experience working abroad, but is enriched when he knows he has helped and added value in some way to customers or colleagues. He finds his most rewarding experiences are working and developing personal relationships with teammates, clients, key partners, and stakeholders.
John is a proud alumnus of both the University of Colorado (B.S.—Finance; minor—Economics), and the University of Southern California (M.B.A.—focus on Marketing and Entrepreneurship). He has been involved in the community, where he has served on non-profit boards to promote literacy, economic development, and education. He has served as chairperson on a joint city and school district council and is passionate about the environment. He is most proud to be a father of two teenagers, a friend, a surfer, a tree-hugging nature lover, and an endurance athlete (when he can…).
Jason is responsible for managing Dext’s Specialty Healthcare team, including recruiting to acquire and expand sales talent while collaborating with the management team to grow and enhance Dext’s competitive edge through both vendor and nationwide direct sales efforts in the aesthetic and medical wellness space.
Jason is a 20-year veteran and leader in the healthcare/aesthetic financing space. Before joining Dext, he was a top producer, team leader, and Senior VP of Sales for Ascentium Capital, Sterling National Bank, and GE Capital Healthcare Finance. Jason has been focused mainly on vendor driven-oriented business throughout his career. While at Ascentium Capital, Jason grew his team from 19 Million Dollars a year in originations in 2012 to well over 100 Million by 2016.
He has an undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in Business. Jason is happily married with two kids. He enjoys attending and supporting his church, landscaping, Alabama football, and most importantly, spending time with his family during his free time.
Lou Altobelli has more than 37-years of dedicated and progressive experience in sales and sales leadership roles with leading industry lenders including GE Capital, American Express Business Finance, US Bank, CIT, and Siemens Financial Services. Lou has held positions such as Director of Sales & Business Development, Vice President of Sales-Healthcare Finance, National Sales Manager-Medical, and Director Strategic Alliances. He is comfortable in highly competitive selling situations with the ability to develop long term client relationships with strong marketing, sales, underwriting, operations, and negotiation skills.
Lou has the ability to work closely with other cross functional leaders in an effort to drive business goals while exceeding customer expectations. He is familiar with financial reporting, accounting, credit underwriting, collections, proposal writing and presentations, and post-sale follow-up. Lou has a successful background in vendor program management, relationship building, business development, sales, and sales management within the financial services industry targeting small to mid-market transactions. He is a results-oriented leader, with a solid background in mentoring, motivating, and managing sales teams.
Lou graduated from Northern Illinois University with a B.S. in Business Management. Lou has been married for 33-years and has 4 children and 2 grandchildren. Lou is also a former youth travel baseball coach and youth football coach.
Lynda is responsible for managing Dext Capital’s Application Administration Department which encompasses the application, documentation, and funding processes.
With over 30-years in the in the equipment finance and leasing industry, Lynda has a broad and deep knowledge of the business. Prior to joining Dext, Lynda spent the past ten years at Bank of the West as Vice President & Operations Manager for the Equipment Finance Division’s Third-Party Servicing business. While at Bank of the West, Lynda was responsible for the oversight and leadership of all back-office operations and managed a portfolio in excess of $2 billion. Lynda has also held operational leadership positions at Portfolio Financial Servicing Company and US Bank Equipment Finance.
Lynda attended Boise State University. She enjoys spending time with her family in her free time. She especially enjoys attending her grandchildren’s various activities.
Kristina will focus her efforts on underwriting credit requests and providing solutions for the equipment financing needs of healthcare providers. Kristina has more than 20 years of progressively responsible commercial finance experience focusing on underwriting and portfolio management as well as loan and lease structuring and documentation.
Before joining Dext in December 2018, she served as the Assistant Vice President, Senior Credit Analyst for Umpqua Bank/Financial Pacific Leasing, where she was responsible for underwriting and managing the most complex credits, including large ticket and application only transactions across multiple business channels which included Direct, Vendor, Broker, and Capital Markets. Additionally, Kristina spent several years at US Bank Equipment Finance implementing, underwriting, and monitoring vendor programs. Prior to that she held various credit positions with Textron Financial Corporation including asset-based lending, factoring and equipment underwriting, portfolio management and documentation.
Kristina is a graduate of Gonzaga University where she majored in Finance.
Tina has over 20 years’ experience in the finance world. She is responsible for the day to day oversight of the Contract Accounting Team.
Laura Claeys has 20 years accounting experience with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting from Portland State University and in 2019 she received her CPA (Certified Public Accountant) Certificate. Prior to joining Dext Laura was an accountant for Greenbrier and Portland General Electric. When not at work she enjoys spending time with her son and husband.
For over 20 years, Donna Cech has a proven background in customer service, collections, and compliance. She works hand-in-hand with customer to ensure their experience brings resolution to any questions and needs that might arise. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, attending equestrian events, and mastering her baking skills.
